When it counts, Colts get the job done

September 17, 2012 at 9:52 am

By.. Jason Shidler  The Indianapolis Colts went into week two; 0-1.  They were fresh off a 41-21 defeat by the Chicago Bears.  Because everybody knows in the NFL, there is never any rest for the weary; the Colts were set to host the Minnesota Vikings in week two.  Minnesota was coming into Lucas Oil Field 1-0, having beaten the Jacksonville Jaguars in OT in week one.  Minnesota was also bringing one of the most feared pass rushes in the entire league.  A pass rush featuring the NFL’s 2011 season sack leader, Jared Allen.   Add in the likes of potential game breakers, Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin, and by any team’s standards, this game was going to be tough.

Bears Preparation for Week 1 vs. Colts

September 9, 2012 at 10:11 am

Bears prepare for Colts in Week 1.

Okay, Bear fans. It is time to get the 2012 season underway. Bear Nation, as I will call it, have higher expectations this season. Last season had too many question marks to be confident from the very beginning. But with the 7-3 start last season and the replacement of Phil Emery at GM, who has brought in talented receiver Brandon Marshall, Bear fans are much more confident with the direction of the franchise. In the back of everybody’s mind is, “How much longer can #54 and this veteran Bear defense play at such a high level?”

Preseason Colts Trade w/ Jason Shidler

August 27, 2012 at 7:48 pm

Colts GM Ryan Grigson made a preseason trade to acquire CB Vontae Davis from the Miami Dolphins. Colts gave up next year’s 2nd round pick, but are excited about their new starting CB. Listen to hear how this impacts Colts.

ADSD talk Colts injuries and trade. Drew couldn’t join us, but Austin is joined by Jason Shidler. Why did the Colts make this trade? What state are the Colts in? Listen to hear more

Why Did the Colts Make the Trade?

August 27, 2012 at 7:30 pm

The newest Colt has had a solid career. Vontae Davis was traded from the Miami Dolphis in exchange for Colts 2013 2nd rounder + 2013 late round pick.

Every game in the 2012 Preseason has seemed to add another name to the Injured Reserve List. Officially, as of Monday at 5:30 EST, August 27th, Colts have placed OT George Foster, DT Brandon McKinney, and WR Griff Whalen on the IR, ending their seasons. OG Justin Anderson is on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) List. The NFL mandates all teams to get their teams down to 75 players.

In Case You Missed it today…Top 2 NFL QB Headlines

August 21, 2012 at 9:02 pm

We are talking QB’s today. QB Tuesday August 21, 2012 headlines

#1 Vick is out, but is expected to be ready for week 1 vs. Browns. Fantasy owners and Philadelphia fans should be frustrated with yet another injury to fight through. Vick has injured the ribs-area twice now in the since last season. He got hit more than any other QB because of a weak offensive line. Vick is going into his second camp as the starter for Philadelphia Eagles. Vick, so supremely gifted, tries to make the big play….but puts himself at harm’s risk. My vote for backup QB in Philly is Mike Kafka from Northwestern (BIG10). I know one team in my keeper fantasy league (keep everybody) who is very concerned about the latest injury to Mike Vick.

Andrew Luck- “The Chosen One?”

August 20, 2012 at 3:27 pm

Luck continued his preseason success in game #2 vs. Steelers on Sunday night.

Is it to early to anoint him?  Hmmm… well maybe not the “Chosen One”. Lebron’s got that title pretty much on lock.  Tell me this though, has there been anyone in all of sports that the media has put higher expectations on from day one? And has any athlete put up the performance on the field/court to back up those expectations since King James? What about the highly touted Andrew Luck?
